My name is Shane Nelson. My company is Omni-Fusion Media Production would be a fantastic fit for this project. We are already a vendor with the U of M and familiar with their process and branding and completed several similar projects.
TEAM: I am able to do everything myself as a one man band at a very high level. I own great gear and a van. Based on shooting days need we could add a Gaffer, AC and PAs.

We would need to discuss what the “Travel” might be In this bid I have 2.5 Shooting days where we shoot most of the interviews in one day and the rest near or on the event day then maybe one last 1/2 day with just me but open to thoughts on what’s best for your team and interviewees.

Created this for the MRC with Dr. Mike Osterholm’s fantastic team.
The video was a huge success leading to more work on the MRC 101 and MRC Orientation training videos.
Also provided stills and some design work.
APPROACH:
I always pair interviews with Cinematic B-Roll that helps tell the story in an interesting way. See the motion graphics as elegant and clean matching existing branding.
Certainly can make something engaging, light, and warm the appeals to potential donors and resonate with the general public, and is less academic.
We select interview angles with deep backgrounds and
capture smiling shots that can be used in other media.
We capture folks smiling and looking happy and natural and can direct the B-Roll or take a fly on the wall approach.
We always shoot in sequence to make it feel more like a movie and less like a collection of random shots.

We organize the B-Roll shoots and entire shoot to be fast and efficient and all our gear can fit on one or 2 carts that allows us to load in an out fast and capture lots of footage in a short amount of time and be able to move many times in one day.
Our prep process dials in exactly what we know we need to capture so we don’t overshoot to and can edit the videos faster.
I always do my best to make this process easy on clients.

We shot this alone with a few cameras and cut everything in a few days.
Our live event chops are really good as we have shot tons of live events over the last 20+ years.
GOAL:
Create a documentary highlighting historical HDR work and accomplishments.
Elevate the voices of our staff, faculty, trainees, and community partners, and our efforts to address health disparities through research and programming.
SCOPE
One, 4K - 16:9 - 3 - 5 minute film, with closed captions.
Five 15-30 second 9:16 clips with closed captions.
Full delivery RAW footage and project files.
Scriptwriting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing.
Locations will take place near our office on the University of Minnesota campus or community partners in the Twin Cities for interviews and B-roll.
2 Shooting Days (one to get the interviews and another to capture event and interviews.
BUDGET $10k
Essentially we are reverse engineering the 10k to make it work.
TIMELINE
Pre-production in mid-April/early May
Production from late May to June based on partner are available.
May 28 - 30, 2026, to film segments of an annual PHDR event to be used in the final product.
Final Delivery early September, to accompany our 20th Anniversary Celebration on October 1, 2026.
