INTERVIEW/SPEECH

Slide with imposter syndrome facts and figures toward the beginning (slide 4) - the top fact is a good data point and people will also probably laugh at my comments about this

  • When I start talking about "I'm not ready" on the slide with the inner critic imposter thoughts (slide 5) - through that story including the end where I talk about the risks of following "I'm not ready" to the audience - I think this would be an especially good place to focus on me because some of the things I'm going to say get to the heart of why topics like this are important.

  • Probably Do It Anyway slide at the very end (slide 26)

  • Please also capture me out in the audience - this will happen several times, so whatever is easy.

I'm looking for another data point to include in my interview portion. It's been harder than I anticipated, but I will keep looking.

  • Here are some questions to ask in my interview. I will bring them printed out as well.

    • Top priorities:

      • What problem do you solve?

      • How do you solve that problem?

      • What's different about what you do?

      • Why are you uniquely qualified to work with women on these issues?

      • What have you heard from audience members?

    • Secondary questions:

      • What's your personal story and how does it connect to this work?

      • What are you clients asking for when they reach out to you?

      • What do you hear from leaders about your work?

      • How do you prepare for a keynote? What's your process?

      • What are your keynotes like?
